How to Verify a Program?
Before applying, you should complete ALL 5 checks:
Step 1 — Identify the Awarding Institution
Every program has an awarding body.
Ask: Who issues the final certificate? In which country is the institution established?
Step 2 — Verify Institutional Status
Visit the official government register in the institution’s country and confirm the institution exists and operates legally.
Step 3 — Check Program Recognition
Important:
An institution being legal does NOT mean every program is recognized everywhere.
You must verify whether:
The degree is recognized in your country
The profession regulator accepts it
Employers accept it
Step 4 — Verify Delivery Mode
Some countries treat online, blended, and campus learning differently.
Step 5 — Request Written Confirmation
Students should obtain written confirmation from relevant authorities if recognition is critical (e.g., teaching, engineering, government jobs, immigration, promotion).
